JUNETEENTH
BAILOUT
CAMPAIGN
In Arkansas Black people account for only 15.7% of the entire population but make up 44.5% of those incarcerated. We celebrated our first Juneteenth Freedom Day Bailout in 2020. By bailing Black people out of jail, during times of significant historical importance like Juneteenth, we can work towards dismantling the systemic barriers that perpetuate racial disparities in the injustice system. It is a way to support and uplift individuals who have been unfairly targeted and impacted by these systems. Juneteenth can serve as a powerful reminder of the ongoing struggle for liberation and equality. There’s no better way to uplift the true meaning of Juneteenth than to help liberate people from the system.
Since 2020 35 People have been Liberated
